Built for Players Who Depend on Their Instruments

Precision craftsmanship rooted in Nashville's working musician culture

A Bench You Can Trust

Every guitar that crosses our workbench receives the same attention we would give our own stage instruments. We document condition on intake, explain recommended work before we begin, and never perform repairs outside the scope you approve. Transparency is part of the craft.

Our luthiers have toured, recorded, and repaired on tight deadlines. We understand what it means when a session starts in forty-eight hours and your main axe won't stay in tune past the third fret.

East Nashville, Music City Roots

Located at 812 Woodland Street in the heart of East Nashville, we sit minutes from the studios and venues where countless records were cut. Walk-ins are welcome for quick setups and restrings, though we recommend scheduling ahead for fret work, electronics, or structural repairs.

Whether you play a vintage D-28 passed down through your family or a brand-new offset you picked up on Broadway, we treat every instrument with respect for its history and its future on stage.

Core Services

Professional repair and maintenance for acoustic, electric, and bass guitars

Setup & Intonation

Action adjustment, nut and saddle work, truss rod calibration, and precise intonation across all strings. We dial in playability for your preferred string gauge and picking style, whether you fingerpick folk ballads or dig in on barroom blues.

Typical turnaround: 2–3 business days

Fret Work & Neck Repair

Level, crown, and polish; partial or full refret; compression frets for worn boards; neck resets and heel joint stabilization. We match wire size and crown profile to your instrument's era and your playing feel.

Typical turnaround: 5–10 business days

Electronics & Hardware

Pickup swaps, rewiring, pot and switch replacement, grounding fixes, and output jack repair. We also install locking tuners, bridges, and tremolo systems with careful attention to original finish and wood integrity.

Typical turnaround: 3–5 business days

Acoustic Restoration

Brace regluing, crack repair, bridge reglues, top bellying correction, and full structural assessment for vintage and modern acoustics. Our humidified shop environment protects delicate tops during open-body work.

Typical turnaround: 2–4 weeks depending on scope

Finish Touch-Up

Chip fill, lacquer burn-in, headstock repair, and careful spot blending for nitro and poly finishes. We prioritize structural integrity and honest appearance over factory-perfect cosmetics on aged instruments.

Typical turnaround: 1–2 weeks

Custom Builds & Mods

Partscaster assembly, partscaster-to-stage conversion, custom pickguards, and player-directed modifications. Consult with us early in the planning process so hardware and neck pocket specs align before parts arrive.

How a Repair Works

Simple intake, clear communication, instruments returned stage-ready

1. Drop-Off or Ship-In

Bring your guitar to our Woodland Street shop during business hours, or ship it insured to our Nashville address. We log serial numbers, existing damage, and your stated goals before the instrument leaves your hands.

2. Assessment & Estimate

Within one business day we inspect the instrument and send a written estimate. No work begins without your approval. If we discover hidden issues during repair, we pause and contact you before proceeding.

3. Bench Work & QA

Our luthiers perform approved repairs in our climate-controlled bench room. Every completed job includes a final play-test, string stretch, and setup verification before we notify you for pickup or shipment.

What Players Say

Word travels fast on Woodland Street

"Brought in a '72 Tele with fret sprout so bad I couldn't finish a take. Got it back in four days playing like butter—action low, no buzz, intonation dead on. That's my main session guitar again."

— Marcus T., Studio Guitarist

"They reglued the braces on my grandfather's J-45 and matched the lacquer on a headstock ding I'd been staring at for years. Honest people who clearly love what they do."

— Elena R., Songwriter

"Rush setup before a Broadway run. They didn't upsell me on work I didn't need—just leveled the frets where it mattered and set the nut right. Fair price, no drama."

— Danny K., Touring Musician
