Standard Setup
Our most requested service. We adjust truss rod relief, nut slot depth, saddle height, and intonation to match your playing style and string gauge. Includes cleaning of the fretboard, hardware polish, and a fresh set of strings if supplied. Ideal before recording sessions, tours, or whenever your guitar feels stiff or buzzy.
We ask about your preferred action height, tuning stability needs, and whether you capo frequently—small details that make a setup truly personal rather than generic.
Fret Services
Worn frets cause buzzing, intonation drift, and choked bends. We offer level-and-crown for moderate wear, partial refrets for localized problems, and full refrets when wire is too low to dress again. Stainless steel and nickel options are available; we help you choose based on tone preference and longevity.
Neck issues such as back-bow, forward bow, or twisted necks are diagnosed separately. Sometimes a setup resolves playability; other times fret work or a neck reset is the correct path—we explain the difference clearly.
Electronics & Wiring
Dead pickups, scratchy pots, loose jacks, and grounding hum are common on stage and in the studio. We troubleshoot systematically, replace faulty components with quality parts, and shield cavities when hum persists. Pickup swaps include height adjustment and phase verification.
Vintage wiring schemes, coil splits, and push-pull tone controls are within our scope. Bring reference diagrams or describe the sound you are chasing—we enjoy the puzzle.
Acoustic Structural Repair
Open-body work requires patience and controlled humidity. We reglue loose braces, repair cracks with cleats, reset lifting bridges, and address bellying tops before they worsen. Each repair is structurally sound first; cosmetic blending follows when requested.
Finish & Cosmetic Work
Headstock breaks, finish chips, and buckle rash are part of a guitar's life. We perform conservative touch-ups that protect wood and preserve character. Full refinishes are evaluated case-by-case; we discuss impact on resale value before proceeding.
