Neck Resets & Angle Correction
Acoustic guitars with rising action despite a straight neck often need a neck reset. We measure neck angle against bridge and saddle height, remove the neck carefully, reshape the heel or dovetail as required, and reglue with appropriate clamping pressure. Settling time and a follow-up setup are included in our process.
Electric neck pockets with poor alignment may benefit from shimming, pocket cleaning, or in rare cases neck replacement. We document measurements before and after so you understand what changed.
Crack Repair & Brace Regluing
Top, back, and side cracks are stabilized with internal cleats and hide glue or modern aliphatic adhesives matched to the repair type. Loose or cracked braces are reglued before they cause further top deformation. Humidity control during open-body work prevents new stress while glue cures.
Bridge & Saddle Work
Lifting bridges are removed, old glue cleaned from the footprint, and the bridge reglued under full clamp contact. We inspect bridge plate condition and recommend reinforcement when string tension has compromised the top. Bone and Tusq saddle fabrication and compensation are available.
Headstock & Break Repair
Headstock breaks are among the most common traumatic injuries. We align grain, use structural reinforcement when appropriate, and blend finish so the repair is stable for daily use. Vintage nitro finishes receive careful color matching; we discuss visibility expectations upfront.
Electronics Repair
Beyond simple swaps, we repair damaged circuit traces, replace corroded switches, and rebuild harnesses on vintage instruments where originality matters. All solder joints are inspected under magnification before the control plate or pickguard is reinstalled.
